Oktoberfest Twilight Cruise on the Detroit River

Mrs.
Marge Strobel Donofrio, president of GAHFI, welcomes nearly 200 guests
aboard the Diamond Belle for the 7th annual Oktoberfest Twilight Cruise
on the Detroit River.
Proceeds
benefitted the Eugene C. Strobel Memorial
Scholarship Fund at Wayne State University which provides financial
assistance to students on the Junior
Year in Munich program - America's oldest study abroad program in
Germany (founded 1953).

The
Diamond Belle departed at 4:00 p.m. from Stroh River Place, located
at the end of Joseph Campau St. along the Detroit River.
Mrs. Germaine Strobel, widow of Dr. Eugene Strobel and vice-president
of GAFHI, and Prof. Mark Ferguson, program director of the Junior Year
in Munich, surrounded by former JYM students on the top deck of the
Diamond Belle.

Prof.
Hans-Peter Söder,, resident director of WSU's Junior Year in Munich,
flew in from Germany to meet some of his former JYM students.
