Affordable Study Abroad — Why pay more for less?

Going to college today is becoming more and more expensive. On-campus tuition, housing, meal plans, and all those hidden fees are always on the rise. But not at JYM. In fact, we've only raised our program fee once in the past 7 years!

Below is a real comparison between JYM and a popular, large study abroad provider:

One Semester
JYM Munich 2015-16 IES Berlin 2014-15
tuition, housing, insurance $10,300 $19,990
housing between semesters included not included

Obviously affordablity is a relative term. But unless you compare program fees carefully (and take into account additional expenses such as vacation travel), you may find yourself on the wrong end of the affordability scale. Now, for those who really want to spend all their money on fees alone, there are study abroad programs in Germany that cost from $38,000 to more than $50,000. The question is: why would you want to do that?

Scholarships
You'd be hard-pressed to find a study abroad program in Germany that distributes $50,000 in scholarship awards annually. But we do - thanks to alumni and friends of JYM who believe that study abroad should be an affordable opportunity for everyone.
