2) JYM is also able to draw upon its many connections in Munich and help full year students find internships during the Semester Break or Second Semester. Some of these have included internships at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies, the Rachel Carson Center for Environment and Society, the U.S. Consulate in Munich, the Culture Office of the City of Essen in the Ruhrgebiet, and even the Deutscher Bundestag in Berlin.
We also have special relationships to assist students in these fields:

Students of business, finance or accounting may apply for an internship in the Munich office of the global accounting and advisory firm Baker Tilly.
Students earn credit for academic work associated with the internship, not for the internship experience alone. In order to receive credit for an internship, students must first sign up for JYG 5890 Overseas Internship (3 credits). They may do so only if this has been approved by their home school advisor as indicated on their Application Form, or if they provide the resident director with documentation that this has been approved by their home school advisor.
Before credit is awarded for the internship, students must submit an Internship Portfolio (PDF) to the JYM resident director by the end of the semester in which the internship occurred.
FAQ Is it possible to have an internship, but not for credit?
Of course! Not everything in life is measured by how many credits you can get for it. Having an internship in Germany can be an incredible experience in its own right, and will certainly stand out on your resume.
